Welcome to PatchWalk. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how PatchWalk ("we," "us," or "our") handles your information when you use our mobile application ("the App").

PatchWalk is developed and operated by an individual developer based in Cyprus.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

PatchWalk is designed with privacy in mind. We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number. All photo content and scavenger hunt progress are stored locally on your device.

2.2 Information Collected and Transmitted

We collect limited technical data through third-party SDKs to help us identify bugs and improve app performance. This data is the only information transmitted from your device:

• Crash logs and diagnostic information (e.g., stack traces, app state at time of crash)
• Device identifiers (such as Firebase Installation ID or Advertising ID)
• Technical device data (device model, operating system version, app version)

This data is collected pseudonymously and is used primarily for analytics and app functionality purposes.

PatchWalk requires certain device permissions to function:

These permissions are used solely for the App's core functionality. We do not access your existing photos or any other files on your device.

4. How Your Data is Stored

All photos you capture and quests you create are stored locally on your device in the App's private storage. This means:

• Your photos are not uploaded to any server operated by us and are never "collected" or "shared" in the context of your personal content.
• Your quest data remains on your device only.
• We do not have access to your photos or quest content.

5. Group Quests

When you create or join a Group Quest, 5-character invitation codes are used to synchronize quest settings (such as available colors) between participants. During this process:

• No personal data is exchanged
• No photos are shared between participants via our systems
• Only quest configuration data (colors, layout) is synchronized

6. In-App Purchases

PatchWalk offers a "PatchWalk Plus" upgrade. All transactions are processed securely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The App accesses your purchase history from these stores to verify and enable your purchased features. We do not collect, process, or store any payment information, including credit card numbers or billing details.

7. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services which may collect data according to their own policies:

• Firebase Crashlytics & Analytics (Google) — for crash reporting and to understand general app usage trends. These services collect crash logs, diagnostics, and pseudonymous device identifiers. This data is encrypted in transit. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Apple App Store / Google Play Store — for in-app purchases and app distribution

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Since your data is stored locally on your device:

• Your data remains until you delete a quest within the App or uninstall the App.
• Uninstalling PatchWalk will permanently remove all locally stored quest data and photos. This serves as a "Request for Deletion."
• We have no ability to recover deleted local data.

Data sent to third-party services (like Crashlytics) is retained according to their specific retention policies (typically 90 days for crash logs).

9. Children's Privacy

PatchWalk is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to address the issue.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your data, including the right to access or delete it. Since all user-generated content is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can delete any quest or uninstall the App at any time to remove all data.

11. International Users

PatchWalk is available worldwide. Your photos and quest data are stored locally and are not transferred to our servers. Technical data and crash reports may be processed by Google (Firebase) in the United States or other regions in accordance with their privacy policy.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
