Welcome to PatchWalk. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how PatchWalk ("we," "us," or "our") handles your information when you use our mobile application ("the App").

PatchWalk is developed and operated by an individual developer based in Cyprus.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

PatchWalk is designed with privacy in mind. We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number. All photo content and scavenger hunt progress are stored locally on your device.

2.2 Information Collected and Transmitted

We collect limited technical data through third-party services to help us identify bugs, understand overall app usage, and measure app install campaign performance. This is the only information transmitted from your device to service providers used by the App:

• Crash logs and diagnostic information (e.g., stack traces, app state at time of crash)
• App and device identifiers generated by analytics services
• Technical device and app data (device model, operating system version, app version, locale, timestamps)
• App event data (such as app opens for analytics and conversion measurement)

This data is collected pseudonymously and is used for analytics, diagnostics, app functionality, and aggregated ad attribution.

2.3 Advertising and Attribution Choices

PatchWalk is designed to work without asking for cross-app tracking permission. In our current setup:

• We do not use permission-based cross-app personal tracking in the App.
• On iOS, install measurement may use Apple's privacy-preserving reporting, which is delayed and grouped.
• On Android, attribution may rely on platform and SDK attribution mechanisms and pseudonymous identifiers.

3. Device Permissions

PatchWalk requires certain device permissions to function:

These permissions are used solely for the App's core functionality. We do not access your existing photos or any other files on your device.

4. How Your Data is Stored

All photos you capture and quests you create are stored locally on your device in the App's private storage. This means:

• Your photos are not uploaded to any server operated by us and are never "collected" or "shared" in the context of your personal content.
• Your quest data remains on your device only.
• We do not have access to your photos or quest content.

5. Group Quests

When you create or join a Group Quest, 5-character invitation codes are used to synchronize quest settings (such as available colors) between participants. During this process:

• No personal data is exchanged
• No photos are shared between participants via our systems
• Only quest configuration data (colors, layout) is synchronized

6. In-App Purchases

PatchWalk offers a "PatchWalk Plus" upgrade. All transactions are processed securely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The App accesses your purchase history from these stores to verify and enable your purchased features. We do not collect, process, or store any payment information, including credit card numbers or billing details.

7. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services which may collect data according to their own policies:

• Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (Google) — for app analytics, conversion event measurement, and crash reporting. These services may collect app events, diagnostics, technical metadata, and pseudonymous identifiers. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Meta App Events (Meta Platforms) — for app event measurement and install campaign attribution. In our current iOS setup, attribution may use Apple's privacy-preserving, aggregated reporting methods. Meta Privacy Policy
• Google Ads (Google) — for app install campaign measurement and attribution using imported app conversion events and platform attribution mechanisms. Google Privacy Policy
• Apple App Store / Google Play Store — for in-app purchases and app distribution

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Since your data is stored locally on your device:

• Your data remains until you delete a quest within the App or uninstall the App.
• Uninstalling PatchWalk will permanently remove all locally stored quest data and photos. This serves as a "Request for Deletion."
• We have no ability to recover deleted local data.

Data sent to third-party services is retained according to each provider's policies and configuration (for example, crash diagnostics and analytics event retention windows configured in Firebase/Google and Meta tooling).

9. Children's Privacy

PatchWalk is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to address the issue.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your data, including the right to access or delete it. Since all user-generated content is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can delete any quest or uninstall the App at any time to remove all data.

11. International Users

PatchWalk is available worldwide. Your photos and quest data are stored locally and are not transferred to our servers. Technical data, diagnostics, and attribution/analytics event data may be processed by Google and Meta in the United States or other regions in accordance with their privacy policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
